any way to hook up to hdtv to watch netflix

ive read about the micro usb cords to hook to.hdmi cable, but i dont want to waste money if that happens and cant mirror my phone or whatever. is there anyway possible i can stream netflix to hdtv via this micro usb cord?

You can't do this wirelessly? I've never seen any tv with a micro usb, but you could use a Chromecast HDMI streaming adapter. The sell for under $30 bucks. Or, if you have a laptop you can stream netflix via usb or usb/hdmi.
