Any word on a GSM version?

There are no CDMA carriers where I live in the caribbean but I really want this phone. Any word on a GSM version? Like a Milestone 2?

in the same boat as you mate. it's the phone I want but i'm in England. We need a GSM version! And preferably called the Droid as well, much better name!

Not sure if there will be a GSM version (Is the Milestone GSM? If so, then maybe) but you will NOT get the Droid branding. That name is licensed to Verizon (via Lucasarts) thus anything non-Verizon cannot use it.

maybe the Droid 2 will be Milestone 2 .. it's my dream phone though it's only CDMA
