I am juggling my new Verizon phones after signing up to a new contract (and being ripped off by the 2x higher in-store prices from their site, which are in turn MUCH higher than Amazon prices!!) I have already exchanged the Nokia Lumia Win 8 phone for this new Droid 4, because I wanted a Droid, but I also wanted a good HD screen for videos and movies, and then I saw the keyboard and was SOLD. I am already unhappy. ESPECIALLY after finding out the battery life is tragic on this thing! And I am not using the keyboard much at ALL, certainly not enough to make it worth keeping.
My question is: Has ANYONE here switched from the Droid 4 to the Droid Razr MAXX, and been sorry they did?? Also, how awesome is the MAXX for movie/video viewing, and is it even more worth it to pay a LOT more for the MAXX HD, if I am not too nit-picky about the videos being SUPER HD? And, finally, is the battery life on the MAXX really that awesome? And what's the batt life difference from the MAXX to the MAXX HD?
I can exchange this phone as long as I have all materials and reciept, but I will have to fork over more cash to do so. I already was forced to pay $106 MORE on TOP OF exchanging my Lumia for this Droid 4! I think they want yet another $50 or more for the Droid MAXX, if they even have the regular MAXX, or maybe it's the HD... I am going to call and see if they can make sure to have one in stock for me when I get my check and can go exchange yet again.
Does anyone have a sign they can point me in the direction of the forums that talk about how to deal with Verizon (or cell phones in general) In-Store personnel, how to haggle deals, how to, if possible, get my phone online and then have it activated to my new contract? Is there a forum to discuss such matters, and also matters of how to factory reset each phone before returning it?
Thanks guys!
PS: I was, before getting into the phones and watching videos on them, planning on just getting myself a good used tablet (like Samsung Galaxy Tab 2) to watch movies on. Do you think it's worth it to stick to a smaller, easy to use for calls cell phone, and go for the tablet? Or should I save some $$ by just getting an awesome MAXX HD and using it for both?
