Anybody know how to update android on Archos

I had android 6.0, from when I bought my Archos 50 platinum back in 2016. I was wondering if you could update it and how.
Please leave any info or links.

the updates are all determined by the manufacturer. if there is no updates, then there is no updates for your phone. all the specs say that 6 is the highest your phone can go. and looking at the specs anything higher would slow the phone down. the phone comes with only 1gig of ram. phones these days needs at least 2-3gigs of ram to run smoothly.....so i'm not sure you even want to upgrade the software.

there are two ways to upgrade 1. you can root it (though there really is no development community to support your phone, so i do not recommend this option). or 2. get a new phone.
