Yeah I went and got the Spirit back when I bricked my last Admire, and funnily enough I bricked my Spirit last night.
Only a real dev could truly hard brick the Spirit lol those unbricking methods for LG phones are pretty strong revivers
Shabby sent me another Admire, before I spend alot of time dev'ing for the phone again, does anybody care?
I just upgraded to the Huawei Premia 4G today. I am selling my rooted, oc'ed, rom'ed admire on c list and ebay for 50 bucks with case and charger. Will post listing numbers if anyone is interested....Shabby sent me another Admire, before I spend alot of time dev'ing for the phone again, does anybody care?

Alright well I'm currently trying to port the Admire over to a 3.0.8 kernel so we can run CM9/10. Everything works except the LCD and Touchscreen right now. Also got the latest CWM built. CM10.1 (Jellybean) builds, but without the 3.0.8 kernel, it's not booting.
so im not a Dev but from my readings and common knowledge on the Admire, wouldnt we need a kernel that supports swap partition to be able to run a working CM9/CM10. now i know similar phones such as the prevail have CM9 but their phone specs are bit better than ours. and maybe the LCD and Touchscreen could be fixed with a source patch from another similar phone if nothing in the Admire's source code works. I personally believe CM9 could run on this phone but its a long shot and could be filled with bugs. Im still a firm believer that finishing CM7 would be better but only time will tell.
First off, I don't need a dev phone, Shabbypenguin sent me one. As far as swap goes, using swap would make the operating system faster, but it wouldn't effect whether or not it will actually run.
The reason the LCD and Touchscreen isn't working yet is because I'm using a kernel for other similiar Samsung phones, and hacking in the Admire specific stuff, so it's not an easy process.
Yes, CM7 would be "easier", but I'm so burnt out on CM7 (lol I am req0), I don't think I'm going to go back to playing with it for awhile. CM7 would be easier because it wouldn't require a newer kernel, but CM7 also never really played nice with our camera driver either.
Anyways, I'm going to be working on CM10.1 primarily because it's the most current and has all the latest patches and bugfixes.
It has to do with the drivers in the kernel itself. Basically ripping out the driver code in the old kernel, and plugging it into the new kernel, fixing all the bugs that that creates along the way.
Well lookie here...
Nice, is everything working in that version
