I've been reading a ton of posts where people are saying "AnyCut" is their favorite app.

What is AnyCut?
I can't find it in the Play Store.
 
It's basically an app that allows you to change individual icons. I don't believe it's available anymore (though BetterCut is on the Amazon app store).
With a custom launcher like Go, Nova or Apex, you can customize your icons through it.
 
I was able to find it linked on this website a few weeks ago when I needed it for an on the go prl switcher between Verizon and sprint
