Anyone Consider Simple Mobile ?

These guys don't sound bad. They had a booth at my local mall. Anyone consider them over Boost? I think they use AT&T or TMobile.

I like the idea of being able to use almost any sim card phone as long as it's on their freq. Being able to talk and use data at the same time is nice also.

Looks like their $40 plan would work.

Thanks

I know a few folks who have Simple Mobile. Simple Mobile uses TMobile towers. You can use any SIM/GSM phone. Just be aware that if you're going to use a AT&T phone you'll most likely be stuck on EDGE speeds. Most GSM phones will have the necessary antenna to cover multiple spectrum for voice but rarely for data. It is also true that you'll be able to use voice and data simultaneously... but that's not really all that. It does come in handy though.

Their 40 plan will cover talk, text and data. If you want 4g (and you have the service in your area) you can up the ante to their $60 plan. Just be aware that they have a unmentioned 3gb data cap. When you get close they'll send you a text message letting you know that you're close. Once you reach that limit they'll cut you off till the next billing cycle. They do not throttle you... they cut you off. If they throttle you before that I'm not aware of it.

3gb is a lot and used to do me fine... until I started tethering.

You might find more help in this section of the forum.

I'm on the grandfathered Prevail plan and I've reached $35. Any other company will have to lick my nether regions before I switch...

I gotta admit I am getting fed up with Boost's sorryass signal. I have 0 coverage at home which I solved with GrooveIP and Google Voice over wifi.
However, when traveling around town signal can come and go from 5 bars to 0 in the blink of an eye. I've swapped prls, this that and the other but bottom line Boost's signal sucks balls

Expecting to get phenomenal speeds on prepaid is coming... but it is not here yet. My friend who is on Simple Mobile watches youtube like it was going out of style. So much so that he gets his phone cut off every month at the 3gb mark. Does it buffer? Yes. Is it unwatchable? No.
