Anyone Considering Switching to the Razr HD/Maxx HD?

The issue with saying Moto has the best radios is that no one knows how either OEM sets them up. Its not so cut and dry on the receiving end as one has better hardware than another. Every phone I have ever had was always within a few dbm of one another. But again do we know how they are taking the sample and of which signal weather it be 3g or 4g. It could be very well even something as simple as how they determine how selective/sensitive the radios themselves are. If Samsung decided they have to have a better signal for it to work it would appear not to be as good as Motorola and such as and so on. Ive had my Nexus say it was at -120dbm and still make a receive calls with no issue. Its really all subjective. With that being said though I do think Motorola has a bit better build quality. But Ill stick with my S3
By "folks like me" I meant those that place more importance on things like build quality and call quality than the average Joe. Sorry for any confusion. Besides, you don't need experience with 20 phones to judge things like that. I've had exactly four and the best build quality and reception/signal strength were on the two Moto droids I've owned. Quite frankly, it isn't even a contest.
Like I said, the S3 radios and build quality aren't terrible. But if the Droid Rzar HD and Maxx HD offers a similar UI experience as the S3 AND also provides better build/reception, it would be enough for me to consider a switch. Obviously, I'm making some assumptions based on past experience. But it's not like I'm in a rush. I'll see the phones in person when they launch and read some reviews first.

For me, Motorola does not put enough effort in software. I had Droid 1, Droid 2 and Razr. Droid were great, Razr had a bit of squeaking going on, but still great devices. None of them stand anywhere near S3 in terms of software and extras you get. And IMO, that is the most important thing in a smartphone. YMMV
The only way to truly determine signal strength between the old Razrs and the S3 is if it was after ICS on the Razr. Pre 4.0 signal strength was determined differently that after. By that same token though youd have to know if the Razrs changed the way they looked at signal to begin with. Pre ICS all devices looked a 1x and RSSI for its signal dbm and the bar representation. After ICS Android was able to look at RSRP and RSRQ to determine strength and quality. With that being said its all subjective on what is better or equal to from one device/OEM radio quality to another.
My finger tips are spongy enough that I can make 2 mm of difference by just squeezing more tightly!
