My line has been up for upgrade since January 21. Since then I get annoying calls from different Verizon stores in my area trying to get me to come in for an upgrade. I currently have the X, and I told them if I do upgrade to anything it would be the Bionic or the Thunderbolt. Every time they call and I tell them this they try to tell me I should just give the Iphone a try, and that there is no for sure release date for either phones. I always reply "thats o.k I will wait and see". But the calls are getting real bothering I have gotten 4 calls alone in the past week. I called CS to see about stopping the calls, but they said they can not do anything about it.

report em to the FCC ;) They must be desperate to unload those iphones, see alot of threads about this.

The thing is they aren't toll free numbers they are local numbers. and it is a different phone number every time. I did a reverse look up on 3 of them and they come back cell phone #'s.

The 'Order iPhone 4' button which is all over every page on the VZW website is broken. Maybe they are just calling everyone as a courtesy so that you do not miss out.

If you are on the do not call list file a complaint with the FTC and the FCC. Then when they call tell them to remove you from their list, this list has to be coming from corp verizon so they can do something about it I dont care what they say.

only downside to that is that since you are a customer and do business with verizon the do not call list does not apply. it only applies to companies that you do not do business with. i tried that with my cable provider cause the keep calling and wanting me to upgrade so i went and got legal advice from the a lawyer and that is what i was told.

It is also my understanding that they can continue solicitation for 18 months after service has ended.

The best way to get people to stop calling is to verbally abuse them.

+1 when my cabel carrier kept calling to ask me to get the internet phone i told them sure as long as you pay my 500 dollar early termination fee and my last bill with verizon and ill get your phone. after that i havent got a single call again. guess they didnt want to shell out that kind of money lol.

If you ask them to remove you from their call list they are legally suppose do so customer or not. Your state may also have laws regulating this.

They probably work at an abc phones or awireless retailer location. They are expanding and the company policy's are horrible. I would not buy anything from these people. You have to sign 2 contracts and pay 2 etfs if you decide to cancel.

its most likley local vzw retailers and not corp stores

+1

I worked for a retailer for 6 months. I had to make those calls. They are called 5 star calls and management made us do them. You can ask them to take you off the 5 star list and they will.

God I hated making those calls!
