Anyone else have issues w/slow power down times?

SGS4 rooted & running stock ROM. I've noticed this for quite a while now (months) & it's been long enough that I can't quite put my finger on when it started to try to track down why. When I select power down it used to go to black screen & then a few seconds later the blue LED goes away accompanied by a brief vibrate & it's off. Now the time between black screen & vibrate indicating a full power off is several minutes. The problem is that I run spare batteries & need to swap out a couple times per day so I'm needing to power up/down more often than some so it's quite annoying. Both my wife & mom's phones are the same pretty much & power down times are just as snappy as mine once was but I'm more of a power user.

Thoughts on what I can change or check?

The more the phone is doing, the longer it takes to close everything out and power down. If all you're doing is making phone calls, there's almost nothing running, and power down is almost instantaneous. If you have all of RAM filled with apps that are actually running, databases open, files open, etc., it can take a long time to close up shop.

Yeah, I'm aware of what's going on for the most part. I want to know how to find out what specifically is causing the hangup and how to resolve it. My guess is there is something specifically that is causing this as it's not something that gradually got worse over months of time.
