Help Anyone else having trouble with SD cards corrupting?

Hi everyone,
I've been having trouble with sd cards lately for my MT, even to the point where I couldn't use my phone unless I took my card out. I was wondering if there's any tips you all have on getting rid of these problems or something.

The first semester card I had for mine corrupted (not the one that came with it an 8gig one from my old bb). Just bought a new card and haven't had any issues since.

Have you had the issue with more than one sd card?

Half my photos are corrupt. I always unmount the card before unplugging. It's pretty upsetting.

I never had any sdcards corrupt on my MT... I did have one corrupt on my OV once when I pulled the sdcard without unmounting it from the phone. It was a 4gb card and 2gb become corrupted to the point that nothing even recognized it as a 4gb, but as like a 2gb card. That was a while ago, but I did fix it. I can't remember if I just formatted it on a computer or what though. Are unmounting the card before taking out the sdcard and using the mount and unmount option for mounting to a computer?

Yes. I had an 8gb sd card that, at one point, made my phone freeze up and i couldn't even access it for my entire vacation. Also, my 2gb sd card that I use now has recently come up saying "damged". I haven't ever taken it out so I wouldn't need to unmount it.

Also Marc, whenever I need to put my card into the computer, I always unmount it from my phone and safely remove it from my computer when I'm done. It seems I just don't have very good luck with SD cards :P

They are both micro SD cards if that helps any.

You could just have gotten unlucky with a couple of cards. I haven't heard much about this other than someone saying it happens now and then (which happens on all kinds of other devices as well).

I haven't had any issues in this case, but I suppose if you wanted to un-corrupt the card, you could format it in an SD-card reader under Windows/Linux as FAT32.
