Root Anyone else not getting the OTA Update?

Can anyone tell me why the OTA update notification is not popping up on my phone. I removed CWM and installed stock recovery via Odin, and I temporarily removed su from system/bin so the phone is temporarily unrooted. I also updated the PRL and even updated Profile. I am running the original Transform Ultra ROM. Yet, no ota update notification for 2.3.6..... am I missing something? Is anyone else having this issue?
 
I was thinking the same thing. Is the ones getting it on Sprint or both? I'm Boost and haven't got it yet. I'm stock but rooted. ???
 
What I Told People Before Was The Update Was For Sprint Phones And Not Boost Mobile......Some Of Us Running Chev Or Mr Ree Rom With Tweaks In The 3g, Plus Using Open DNS I Believe Was Giving Some Of Us The Update From Sprints Antenna.....But There No Mention Of An Update On Boost But It Is On Sprint........

I Could Be Wrong But Also Once I Went Back To Stock No Updates But With Chev Rom, 5-7 Updates Came Up..........

Yes they should be the same phone, but there is 2 separate files on sprints open source page. FC29 is for Boost, FD11 is Sprint.
 
There is definitely an ota update for boost mobile. My wife is using samsung transform ultra boost mobile and is completely stock. Her phone got the ota update a few days ago. However, my samsung transform ultra for boost mobile is not getting the notification for the ota update. My phone was rooted and had cwm. I removed root and flashed stock recovery via odin and still no notification of ota update.
 
They are not updating all phones at once, they are sending update notices to phones in waves.. through the 22nd. I am also waiting to receive an update notice.

Hey Loota, it's been awhile since I messed with my last Android the Prevail, which my wife now has. If I was to force the update myself using what interdpth posted, how would I make it an update zip? Do I just put the contents in a folder named update.zip and use the built in recovery like someone mentioned?

I am Stock but rooted. I am willing to what for a reroot. I just want a working screen right now. I don't all the extra MODs, ROMs, and kernals. I learned my lesson from the Prevail. Doing too much made it go wacko.
 
I honestly don't know... if you want a stock phone with a working screen with root just use the rom I made.

Its literally stock 2.3.4 with a working screen and root and nothing more. Well actually the kernel that fixes the screen also allows you to overclock but thats only if you choose to.

All props go to bobZhome, interdepth and chevanlol for the kernel, root and stock rom respectively. I just put them together and uploaded it.. 15 mins work.

Yes and that rom will not remove it. However in the 2.3.6 thread we see that someone may be uploading a stock rooted 2.3.6 cwm flashable rom in a couple of hours. Dunno how its gonna work for people but I will try it for sure! Make sure you back up!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes the update is also for Boost. I received the update to my phone, on Boost, on May 9th. My wife has the same phone, also on Boost, and has not yet received the OTA update notification yet.

Did you ever end up getting a notification for the OTA update? I still haven't received any update notice.
 
Still not getting any OTA update notification & when I click on "Update Samsung Software" it says "Your system is currently up to date". I have tried this with CWM & without CWM. I have removed root and tried stock system & stock recovery. Still no notification of OTA update. Very Strange...... I have manually updated the Baseband but still want to update to a rooted 2.3.6 but I don't like all the issues that people are reporting (WIFI Issues, GPS Issues, Home Screen Image Issues) Is Interdpth still working on a CWM safe update?
 
The wifi and gps issues are not specifically from that rom but from the ota update itself.. unless someone finds a way to fix what samsung screwed up you won't find a better update
 
I thought I read that they were stopping the OTA til they fix it? I am still getting it about every 4-7 days.
 
I never updated mine and it eventually quit bugging me. Now when I check it says no update available.
