After the update, when I power my phone on or off, instead of the normal "DROID" tone, I get a ring like a normal cell phone ring. Anyone else experience this or know how I can change it back? I've tried checking and unchecking the notification for an update and all that does is make the ringing stop, then when I re-check it, it does that funky ringing again like there is an update.

Nope, I had Ringlert for about 5 minutes but that was after the problem already existed.
No ring droid here..
Kinda noob question how do I tell if I got a update? there a version check function?
Well I guess its normal. My buddy has a D1 running 2.2 and his does the exact same thing. But what gets me is that before the update it use to say "DROIIIIIDDDDD" on power up and power down. Grrrr. Its for the SD mount and unmount, when you disable that notification, it doesn't do it.
Ok I figured it out, its the notification sound that plays on boot, the default was Drooooiiddd but when I changed my notification setting I forgot cuz I changed my ringtone at the same time.
