Anyone else on VZ get an update recently?

I got a system update pushed to my phone this morning and I'm not really sure what it did. It appears that the build number is the same, the software version looks the same, the android version is the same, and nothing really seems different. What did I just get?

One thing I've noticed since this update is that my phone is CONSTANTLY "Finding location..." It never actually "finds" where I am. That never happened prior.

I got the same update for my LG G3 on Verizon. It cycled through "optimizing" all my apps. Later that day it went blue screen and died. I restarted, but it went blue screen again and now will not start. I'm wondering if anyone else has problems with a blue screen or their phone getting bricked after this update. I did see 0% battery briefly once, but I confirmed the battery is not the problem.

As for the update, the software version is zve now, but beyond that I've not seen any other changes. For a moment I thought it might be marshmallow or n, but no. Probably going to flash back to 4.4.2 to root and install a 4.4.4 ROM.

I'm assuming you are on Verizon, hence the VZ in your thread title? If not, my apologies as you do not state exactly which version/carrier of the G3 you are referring to.

If you are on Verizon with the VS985, then this has the latest security fixes (with the exception of the Quadrooter flaw that was just announced last week).

Technically, it's 6.0.1 from what I understand. The software version is different. It's now VS98548A with a security patch level of 2016-06-01. The previous version was 47A.

Again, if you are not referring to the Verizon model, my apologies. It's always good to specify which model you are speaking of as each carrier's model of the G3 is different in how they handle patches, what version of Android you'll get, etc.

Yea VZ = Verizon. Sorry if that wasn't as clear as it could be.

Thanks for the info. I guess I'm just confused because it seemed to slow my phone down and hinder the performance of some things. Seems to be running fine now after a while, but I was just unsure, as I couldn't exactly understand what the vzw website was explaining. Thanks again.
