Anyone Familiar With Radio Shack OP?

So I bought a launch Evo at the Shack, which developed some of the typical problems like the nonresponsive screen and the glass separation, but also a more serious one - a large section of pixels went black in the corner. I took it back to RS to exchange or return it, and they flat-out refused because they couldn't be certain I hadn't dropped it. I hadn't, and there's no visible external damage at all, but fine, whatever, I can understand the reasoning. I had TEP and I filed a claim and got a brand new replacement phone and sent the old one back.

Sprint's network has been dodgy around me, so I decided to cancel service and return everything. I hadn't even opened the new phone I got. I took that phone and tried to return it to Radio Shack, but they refuse to take the new one back because the serial number doesn't match the one I initially bought. I understand the rationale behind that policy, to prevent someone from buying a new one and returning a defective one, but my situation is the opposite...I bought a defective one and am trying to return a brand new phone.

So, anyway, long story short, I cancelled my service directly with Sprint because that's all I could do. Will Radio Shack charge me the $200 fee? How does that work? I'm trying to bring the handset back but they just won't take it.

Never shopping at Radio Shack ever again.
