anyone get their Prime from Best Buy? Even if not...

Did you get your Prime through Best Buy Online?
I'm concerned. My Prime came yesterday the 13th.
Right off I see it was packed and sent in a white plastic bag.
No bubble wrap, nothing. The box was simply placed in this
bag. WTF? On top of that, the address label says it came from
the RETURNS dept. HUH??
Another thing, I can't find it now but, I thought it was in Settings?
I saw a stat about the battery cycle. It gave a starting date and then the current date. Mine had a start date of December 17th.

I wouldn't worry about the 17th date. The Prime wasn't officially released until December 19th. Even then, most of the early receivers didn't get until a few days after that.

I picked mine up December 22 from local Gamestop.

I'm pretty sure there were very very few people who got theirs prior to December 22... if any.

As far as the packaging .. have you opened it yet? Was the box sealed in plastic? Can you tell if it's been opened?

Got mine from BB and did store pick up so there was no shipping packaging, but the box was sealed in shrink wrap plastic.

JohnDaddyo... The first one I received was in a white bag type package but I think it had the bubble liner. It did say from the returns department but was sealed and clearly new.

They may have used that department to help in shipping or it could be orders returned or canceled due to people ordring multiple Primes with intent to sell or maybe ordered from multiple vendors to increase chance of getting one. I actually picked one up in store at BB that was a new unopened return just a few days after Xmas.

I got a Prime from Best Buy that came in the envelope with zero padding.

I have some minor dings on the metal edges of the tablet, but other than that everything works fine. Their customer service line wasn't much help, so I got annoyed and emailed their CEO.

I received an email from an "Executive Resolution Specialist" and we came to a reasonable agreement. I could return the item for a full refund and get a gift card for my trouble or I could keep the item and get a credit since I argued that I now have a scratch & dent Prime.

In the end I kept the Prime (only my GPS is an issue so far) and received a $130 credit -- meaning I got a slightly dinged Prime for $370.

with all the foam in the asus box, how did the prime get damaged?

Mine came the same way. Box was dinged up but tablet was fine . The box was shrink wrapped. Not a great way to ship it but it did make it.
