Anyone get their VZW phone on Amazon?

My GF is due for a handset upgrade on VZW. In researching her best options for her, I came across several VZW phones on Amazon that for sale for about half of what Verizon is charging at their website. Has anyone got their VZW phone from Amazon? How does the process work? At the Amazon Wireless website it looks legit, i.e. they ask you to enter your account details to verify if you're due for an upgrade or not.....it just seems a little odd that Amazon can offer the same phone for 50% off what Verizon is asking for it--75% off if you're a new customer instead of an existing one....

I've purchased two phones at Amazon: One Att--a few years ago when I was with them, one with Verizon (just recently). It works fine--totally legit.

I bought two phone for Verizon off of Amazon and the experience was great! I even exchanged one of the phone within the first 30 days after purchase rather than 14 with Verizon...

had one bad experience with doing it for my sister and her original droid charge, through amazon's inventory the charge was listed as refurbished, however we received it brand new in the box. so that was the only hassle and annoyance we had to deal with regarding purchasing phones from amazon

I have never bought an upgrade through Amazon, but a few phones ago I bought my original VZW phone through Amazon, and it was an amazing deal. No problems at all going through Amazon.

I was going to buy off of amazon, but thank god I googled it before I did. I was getting ready to upgrade my wifes line (I have unlimited data she doesnt) and I was going to swap her upgraded phone to my line...

With amazon you have to wait 6 or 9 months I can't remember, but either way you have to wait an extended amount of time before you can swap the phone.

So I know that best buy price matches, I went in there and mentioned that amazon had the note 2 on sale for $149, but she told me that they do not price match amazon (which is odd because their website states that they do). But they did price match newegg, so I got the phone for $149 and was able to swap lines there on the spot.

The wife got both of our phones through Amazon in Dec. '11 for a penny each, and chose vzw as provider. I haven't had issues with my phone but the wife did and they were great on getting her issues solved.

I bought 2 phones through Amazon and it has been great. I even got one of them replaced by Verizon when I called and complained enough.

I've NEVER seen someone upset about getting NEW over USED...that's just ridiculous..

The shipping time for a pebble blue S3 on amazon was 2 weeks. I didn't want to wait so I went to best buy to price match it the gave me a 200$ S3 for 50$

My advice? Get the amazon price and go to Best buy if your impatient like me :p
