Help Anyone have a problem with the "sleep mode?"

Ive had the eris for about a week now with the sleep mode set for 30 seconds with no problems.

Today (once in the morning and once at night) I noticed the sleep mode was not kicking in. The screen would not turn off even when I changed the settings. Once I turned the phone off/on sleep mode would kick in...

Happen to anyone?

not me but i had a devil of a time getting rid of the sms 100% awake issue. What i found was that half the stuff i installed (in particular visual voicemail) was preventing sleeping. I did a hard reset and installed things one at a time and made sure everything was doing ok after each.
