Anyone have link to purchase Admire BATTERY?

annovice

Newbie
I like to have an extra battery when out. Anyone know where to get one? I have searched Ebay and several cell accessory outlets. Maybe Admire too new? Maybe another phone has same battery? - if so which one???

------------
About me:
MetroPcs Admire from Sept. 1
Former phone: Samsung Code I220
Already dl from Market, syncing Outlook, etc.
Looking forward to learning from you and helping others here.

The co. does list some accessories, tho not one identified clearly as a replacement battery for the Admire. I did however take a hint from what I saw and searched for other phones, as maybe I can sub their batteries. Right now I believe the Galaxy battery comes closest, tho the ones I so far have found say different mAh etc, yet have an almost identical look. As a trial I ordered a couple off local Ebay seller and will know soon. I appreciate your suggestion that jumpstarted this new search.

Anyone else know where I can get the exact/precise battery in the Admire from MetroPcs. It says: GB/T18287-20000 3.7v Li-ion 3.7v 5.92wh 1800mAh

:o

Have not had a chance to run it dry yet. I recharge it each evening on a/c or have it plugged in most of day to computer. I like to have an extra battery charged and ready to use just in case.

Posted this in another thread but I usually charge my phone before I leave for work (to about 98-100%) and I go through about an 8 hour work day with the phone going down to around 45-40% before I get home.

Related to spare batteries....

I never once bought a spare battery for an individual phone, I use universal external battery packs.
Because most phones can boot w/o battery as long as a charger is plugged in I have run a few phones off of them without consequence. This means that I can use one pack for many phones.

At the moment I have a Duracell mygrid backup power pack. I can pm you exact info if you want but I believe I got it at bestbuy or maybe even Walgreens. About $40 and still good after a couple hundred cycles.

I actually used it today at work and my admire ran Pandora and androirc (both heavy hitters on the battery) for going on 13 hrs. Still in the green, though the pack died around six (plugged in at around 11am to a half charged phone.).

UPDATE: the Galaxy batty ok as a sub for the Admire battery. :p If Moderator lets me post fotos I will do closeups of both batteries. The one ordered described as SAMSUNG Galaxy Indulge SCH-R910.

I have looked at external generic cellphone battery packs and they seem useful. I may get one of those if ever I use my phone a lot. Right now I charge my two batteries overni0ght for use away from home and they last way longer than I need.

On the topic of the battery, what kind of life are you seeing with your Admire?
My battery life so far is decent. It carries me through the day with a good amount of usage on the web. I think the battery life is better than my iPhone 3GS was on 2G and much better than the 3GS on 3G.
