Help Anyone know how to change the color of the email account tabs?

I'm not sure which mail app you are using (Gmail or Mail), however, I'm currently using the Gmail app and my folder color designations match exactly how it is setup in gmail on my pc. If you are using just the Mail app, you might want to try using the Gmail app instead. To make color changes to your folders, you would have to change them from gmail on your pc, not on the phone. Hope this helps.
I read a variety of threads that said the colors are assigned in a specific order and every time you delete and then add an account it bumps to the next color on the list. I tried this and it didn't work - the Gmail account always was assigned red. My pop3 was always a green. Looks like Christmas around here. I think on my former G2 we could long-press on the account from the "accounts" tab (where the accounts and their colors are listed) and change it there but it isn't working here.
Roger that. It's probably not configurable. It is in K-9, but the nice thing about this version of Sense stock client, is that I don't need K-9 for one of my IMAP accounts which is tricky to setup.

you can assign colors to accounts in calendars (you know how you can see other gmail account calendars in one account?)
the colors on my android phone seem to track along what i've assigned them in the web-based calendar
blue for personal
red for an older company of mine
grey for my new company
that's in the gmail app on the phone and in the calendar on the phone
as for the email client though, i only have one email address that i'm using for IMAP (a google apps acct) - and there's no color assigned to it, i figured because there's only one it doesn't need to differentiate
but i'd *like* to be able to access multiple accts in the email app and have them color coded - ideally with the color i assign them in my main google acct's calendar
