Anyone REGRET buying Galaxy Note??

Not a NOTE user, yet. I'm on a Dell STREAK 5.

One thing that hasn't been brought up yet is that a large phone like this is not a one-handed device for texting. My wife's iPhone is fairly easy to 1-hand. I can text short messages on it with just one thumb of the hand holding the phone.

The Samsung keyboard on the Note has a one handed mode whereby it only uses 2/3rds of the screen and you can quickly move it from the left or right depending on which hand you are using.

I've had my Note for a week, I updated it to ICS4.0.4 and thus far I'm loving it.

The only small niggle I had was the Samsung keyboard after the ICS update, but that was quickly solved by installing Perfect Keyboard from the play store.

Now it's been charged a few times, the battery life seems pretty good considering I've been hammering my new toy lol.

For instance, last night it was fully charged at 9pm, I then started hammering the net via mobile network and doing lots of syncing and then when I got home via wifi. I finally stopped at about 1am this morning and still had 50% charge remaining. That's 4 hours of constant heavy use, so I don't think that's bad at all.

I just read the note upgrades are gone since sansung is coming with v2. and there will not new upgrades......
so save money for the note 2

I bought my Note after dropping my much-loved BlackBerry Bold from a great height and thought I'd try Android just for a change. I haven't regretted it, not yet anyway.

What attracted me to the Note was the big screen. Years ago I had a Palm with a stylus so I looked forward to trying the S-pen.

The Note is not as good as a 7" or 10" device in this regard but the 5.3
