Root Anyone remove the battery yet?

I also ripped the orange tab to my battery and now I have to use my old phone =/ I can't find any aftermarket batteries anywhere
Are you talking about the orange connector shown toward the bottom of the page in this Ifixit RAZR teardown? If so I have two questions for you:

1. Why did you take the phone apart

2. Do you have Asurion insurance

There are some used RAZR's on eBay for parts but they are pretty expensive. You also likely invalidated the insurance by taking off the back since it is not a user serviceable phone. You are not likely to easily find a source that only sells the battery especially since it is such a new phone.

I've heard that it is possible, and for root and rom users it makes a difference (at least I think it does - I'm still a noob).

It is possible to remove the battery. However, it is not very practical, I have also heard that doing so voids your manufacturer warranty so you just have to be careful if you decide to remove your battery.
