Anyone tried PowerAMP 2.0 beta?

Not been a market update in a while so had a quick look at the forum, and see there's a 2.0 test for download. Going to download it since it seems to have cracked support for RG at last :) - but interested to get views from anyone on here who's tried it.

Not strictly Desire only I know (sorry Mods, have also posted in main app forum) but at least i know there's a few other poweramp users in here - so anyone tried the beta version yet?

Pretty excited as it's got ReplayGain support :), compatible with Foobar RG scan tags which is what i use at home :), and a 'soft' limiter :). Still a few bugs to iron out but think a second beta release is imminent. Good news as its been a long time with no updates for 1.4.

a NEW poweramp| :o:o WHERE?!?!

seriously though, I've only ever had tiny rare problems....but not enough that its really bothered me...its probably the ONLY app on my phone that I'm not fussed if there was no new updates...they had my 3 quid and I inturn got a damn good player

Looking forward to the realease of this - seen videos on YouTube. Can't be bothered with betas atm.

Agree on Google music. Have the ICS version on my Desire at the moment but for all it's good looks it is lacking in a few areas and feels quite 'thin'

Find it here PA Beta 2

Know what you mean, but RG support is a big plus for me - much better than crap normalisation techniques for consistent vol plus there's a limiter as well rather than simple peak clipping. (Bit of a geek when it comes to my digital music ;))

How? I thought that the streaming was only for American users who had invites?

Yes it is.

I simply googled for the IP address of a US proxy server to add to my browser's network / connection / LAN settings. When I found one that worked (i.e let me browse the net), I went to the google music site and requested an Invite.

Once received, I clicked on the link received in my email (whilst still having this configuration) and signed up.

Once signed up, you no longer need the proxy address

EDIT3: found it, its in settings

I have the last beta right now. The new UI looks great. I can't quite get the same sound as I had in the market version though, which is disappointing. Hopefully I get some responses on his forum about it. Great app though.

I have been using PowerAmp 2.0 beta for a couple of weeks now. I think this is where I got it:
PowerAMP version 2.0 Beta is ready to download | Android Community

The UI changes are great and much more intuitive than the early version but there are still some bugs in it. I occasionally have force closes especially when dealing with the changing the repeat/shuffle options or playing songs from the playlist. I have confidence though that all the bugs will get straightened out.

this looks like a good review of it on youtube:

looks like 2.0 Beta 3 is out now:

I'm using it, it is brill, some nice additions over 1.4. BUT I'm getting quite a few reboots since I installed the beta. Could be coincidence.
Just installing the RC now...

when i click on the link above to download it, it says page isn't their,
carnt find it on the market either

yeah sorry I saw that after I had posted, not sure what is up with that. But I did find the Beta 3 version over at xda forums. I downloaded and it is working great so far, and fixed most of the bugs I was having.
