Anyone using EasyTether (Mobile Stream) with F3 on Virgin?

Hi, folks.

I'm a noob on this forum, but not forums generally, and I didn't find anything definitive when searching.

My current droid phone is a (rooted/otherwise stock ROM) LG Optimus V which I sometimes use with a cable tether to my Windows notebook via Mobile Stream's "EasyTether."

I'm considering transitioning to the F3 and will root it and install Link2sd right out of the box so I can actually use it for something besides browsing (though I'm not really a big app user).

However, I don't want to lose the ET functionality, since I find that useful from time to time; besides, I paid for the ET app. :D

So, is anyone using a cabled EasyTether configuration with a VM F3? Any problems?

TIA,
Greg

I have used it before with no problems. I just prefer using DD-WRT for my router and setting it up as a repeater by having my router connect to the hotspot on the phone and repeat the signal. So then I can have the router set up for UPNP then it can open ports where UPNP is supported. As by default the hotspot on the phone or usb tethering seems to support opening ports or have UPNP for it.
