Help Anyone using Google Maps Chrome To Phone? Having an Issue

So, if you don't yet know what Chrome to Phone is, it's basically a Chrome Browser extension you install on Chrome, on your desktop. It's also an app that you download and install in your Android device.

You can go to Google Maps on your desktop, in Chrome, and map out a specific route and then send it to your phone.

It works great....sorta.

I mapped a specific route on my computer desktop from home to work.

It absolutely transmitted from desktop to phone.

However, upon execution of the route, Google Navigation changed what I had mapped out to something it felt was faster.

That's not what I want. I need it to follow the exact route I mapped out.

Is this normal? Is there a reason Google Maps/Navigation is changing my specific instructions?

That always happens - they calculate the routes from two different servers providing two different routes.

Any edits to the route aren't saved on the server or modified in the URL, therefore the changes are only saved locally - hence why the changes don't go through.

Epic,

Thanks for the confirmation on that. A real shame. And as such, now I have to invest in a Garmin device.
