Root Anyone using the new insertcoin 1.9.5-also kernal question

Hi, been on insertcoin 1.8h for a while now and have noticed the new version is out and stable...is anyone using it, if so are the many differences have read the changelog but what about peeps with real experience on their handset?

When (if) I flash this one should I change my kernal or leave it as it is ? Supposedly the one with it is fine now...

I'm using 1.8h as well and have yet to take the leap to 1.9.5 as it has been out for less than 24hrs!

Also, the dev is taking a leave of absence so, I'll be following what happens on xda.

Well I've gone for it and flashed it...all seems well so far...nice boot animation too haha

Will keep you informed of any issues I notice with it

Could you explain to me how you did it, coming from 1.8h as well please?

Hi mate, cleared all caches, booted into recovery and flashed the rom..I know I should have backed up first but I'm impatient...Lol

Yeah the boot animation was a pair of monsters eyes blinking...made a change from the coins going in to the arcade machine as per 1.8h...

Not noticed many changes as yet (seems faster?), but the spare parts option is slightly different...

Still getting the odd bit of jumping when playing back recorded hd video clips but maybe down to the memory card I'm using as it did it in 1.8h too ?

Went from 121mb (on 1.8h) to 103 after backing up apps and settings!!

Also, wifi not working so I rolled back.

The boot animation is sweet though, wish I knew how to install just that though!

Lector some member of xda released a tool for making boot anims on xda in desire themes section a while back you could take the animation from 1 rom and put it in yours seems to be pretty easy i made one with a few pictures i had not great but i like it

HTC Desire Boot Animation [Ubuntu Guide] [Archive] - xda-developers. couldnt find that post as im using xda app but iv got it saved on my pc this will be usefull i hope.
