Anyone yet use the ATT version?

Still waiting for mine. Hoping it gets here today. If it gets here today I guess I'll be playing with it all weekend! Here's hoping the USPS is on time! :D

Been setting mine up and playing all day, but I'm a poor reference as this is my first Android phone. Been using iphone since 2008.

I'd love to play with an international version of the note to see if there is a noticeable difference. Seems smooth and fast to me.

just got mine, im an apple guy who decided to switch, love this phone hands down! i was tired of the same size with apple, anyways, this phone rocks, got the white one, call quality is excellent, still getting used to the android system, but i already love it!

i'm in same boat as the last 2 posters. iP since '07. this is my 1st Android...i am a little overwhelmed TBH, alot of options! not in a bad way, i am excited. the size is incredible. the screen is gorgeous. i been slowly setting it up today, but there is so much stuff to look at on it, i get distracted and end up not getting much done with it yet lol.

My i717 Note is my 5th Android. I am switching from a similar phone..the i727 Skyrocket. I have spent alot of time tranferring and getting everything set up on the Note today. But it is very comparable to the SR, performance wise. But the screen is certainly big and beautiful. I have a house full of iphone 4S users and I detect some envy in their faces, whether they admit it or not.
Battery life is a little better than the SR, but the rated 10 hours will not happen for me. I am a heavy user and generally get half of the rated batt times. I always own 3 batts and lucky for me...my battery order showed up.from Amazon today also!
The large screen size gave Samsung some space to add little extras into apps that we don't normally see in Touchwiz, The browser has proper forward and back buttons. The calendar and email apps also gained from the space.
Truly it's just too early to say how good this phone is, but so far I am pretty satisfied with it. ICS will truly make this thing sing.
My list of accessories bought this week.
Moshi Ivisor Screen Protector (ATT) 25.00
Speck Candyshell Case Blk/Grey (ATT) 40.00
Hyperion battery 2 pack with charger 24.99
Motorola 89507n Compact Bluetooth keyboard w/trackpad $99.95
Samsung OTG HDMI Adapter $14.95
Samsung OTG USB Adapter $8.95

Thats it! No more buying! Well maybe one more thing...the Note Auto kit looks kinda cool...and my old phone holder is a tad narrow for the width of the Note:(

So jealous.

My white Note, preordered on 2/5, was last heard about as being in Memphis, TN on Thursday night 2/16 at 5PM. So much for delivery "on or before 2/17."

Got mine yesterday. Got wifi working but that's all. Its my first smartphone so I joined forum to help me figure out what the Android OS is all about and how to set up Apps, delete Apps, etc. My wife has the Skyrocket and yesterday she could not get a radio station broadcast to play because she didn't have the MS Media Player. Doesn't look like MS has a media player App for Android but maybe there is a third party version. I'm not sure right now how to go about getting Apps but I'm sure I will find out somewhere on this forum.

I use a App called AppBrain, although you can use the native market too. I like AppBrain because I used my PC to build a "My Apps" list and then when I finally got a phone, it just sync the list to my device.

I have never had a Apple, so I can't compare that environment. But there should be a Market app pre-installed on the phone. I also have an app called "Tunein" that came pre-installed on my Streak that works well for listening to radio stations.

I would see what is already on the device from At&t and then see what else you need.

Got mine yesterday. I have a Gtab 10.1 but am moving over from the iP3Gs and so far this smokes it..
I have a lot to learn and setup. For some reason i cannot get my 2 yahoo accounts up and running in the email app like on the iP, so currently need to check emails through browser. (my yahoo acct is a business acct so does not have a dot yahoo domain. )
I also have a 6 week old and a 20 mo old which means i do not get much time to play w the phone to try to work things out either.
Otherwise, this is exactly what i have been waiting for. It feels like somebody built a phone just for me. It is not too big nor too small. Fits just right.
I can't wait to get to know it better.

Got it! ATT called yesterday and I went right after work last night to pick up. Beautiful! I also can't spend as much time as I like right now. I work today and will out this evening, but I have Mon., Tues. & Wed. off. So I will be immersed. I also got an unexpected phone call last night that lasted over an hour. I can vouch for the fact that holding this larger phone to my head for a long call was not a problem. It's very light.

What little I know so far looks like everything is working properly. Oh, it's going to be fun couple of weeks!

Mine came in Saturday the 18th so only one day later than promised. I'm OK with that. Spent the day playing around with it. I lead an enterprise mobility team and lab for a Fortune 500 company and have access to a lot of the bleeding edge technology coming from vendors these days (except Apple who doesn't share much).

I have to say this thing is excellent. It is big. It fits in one hand for me but being a musician I'm used to stretching my fingers and such so it was no biggie for me. I could see how someone with smaller hands might have trouble using it one handed. Even with my finger stretch I was worried about holding it just in one hand.
I live in an area where AT&T is just now rolling LTE and it isn't anywhere near me but I was getting close to 8Mb down and 1.5 Mb up yesterday in a few areas. The notification bar showed 4G but not 4GLTE so I'm assuming it is HSPA+. (???)
GPS is fantastic. Works like a charm. No problems with Wi-Fi at all and getting great speeds on it.

I really like the S Pen. So many have said "the stylus is dead". Well I have to say after using an iPad and iPad 2 with a capacitive pen and loving Penultimate to the point of no longer taking paper notes (until my work iPad bit the dust) I like taking notes electronically. I have tried every mainstream Android tablet out there in my lab or in stores with good pens and none are that great. Just not good. Until I tried the Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet. It has a "stylus" type pen (digitizer) and an app (Notes Mobile ... man I wish they would release for all Android devices not just Lenovo and iOS) that is just out of this world. it got me back to thinking that a stylus is the way to go for accurate note taking and ultimately got me thinking about the Samsung Note.

All that to be said I am fairly impressed. The S Pen is very accurate in its capture of my writing and drawing. It is fast and smooth with not "catches" or "snags" in the writing. Very well done hardware wise. Software wise I am NOT impressed. The handwriting recognition is so Palm. :-) It is only about 50% accurate with my handwriting when trying my best. The Notes Mobile with Lenovo was probably 90% accurate with my WORST handwriting and it converted LIVE on the page as I was writing. It was FANTASTIC. Bottom line on the S Pen ... great hardware ... not so great software.

The screen. Oooohhhhh the screen. I am in love. Yes ... the screen is simply AMAZING. The color is great, the viewing angles are good. I have a Kindle Touch for reading as I've never found another device as light, comfortable, yet big enough to read (as I am a prolific reader). I would have to say the Samsung Note is pushing the envelope. If battery life is good enough to get me through a six hour flight (in airplane mode) or several days of average use then I'm sold and might not need the Kindle. The text with the Kindle app (and in general) is sharp and very easy to read. Video is just astounding.

Performance wise the device is very good. I know there were concerns that the performance of the AT&T (US) Snapdragon 1.5 GHz CPU wouldn

Samsung has has past issues with the GPS. How's the notes GPS?

I have the international version, but I got a reasonably quick lock after travelling 500km (300 miles) and with no WiFi or cellular data connection. I get the feeling that it beats my TomTom dedicated car navi.

Regards,
Eric.
