Root anyway to mod the notification pulldown menu to add day and date

First off, thanks for the response. Now humanely as I may, could you maybe help me learn. By taking me through your process. What was it you did to sucessfuly get the edits you performed, on that posted system UI. That got it running on your spirit. I'm almost positive in it's difference to my zte avid is beyond me. But direction's might help point me north. Hahaha

The pics on the link you provided are exactly what I'm looking to do.(I have it downloaded) Now any help from yourself and this goes out to spanky as well. That would aid in my quest to learn android modding. Would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You can't use that system ui. Or the copy over the entire XML. You have to apply the changes he made to his to yours. Go through the xmls of your status bar and status v bar expanded and see how they are laid out with code. On mine Immoved the lines for the time, settings, and notification clear to the top. And then I added his code for the date into it. And added his lines to styles.
