Help Anyway to wipe Autocorrect?

Often when typing I'll type "i" and it doesn't autocorrect to "I," and there's no option to specify capitalization. Also, it won't autocorrect "Im" or "im" to "I'm" AT ALL. How do I fix this? As many times as I click "I'm" in the autocorrect bar it does not save.

Ideas?

I actually prefer it this way most of the time, unless I'm making a post on a forum where I prefer to me more, "formal," and correct.

Are we able to turn auto correct off when using Swype?

I don't think you can. Disabling Auto-capitalize seems to only apply to new sentences and not "I." Maybe you can try the settings on your phone.

I would, but I don't have it yet. I'm just trying to learn as much as I can before I even have it, so that I'm totally ready to handle any weird things the phone can toss at me. Thanks for the info.

I had no idea you didn't have the actual phone since you post so much though I guess that explains some of the non-committal answers. When is your phone shipping? The hour or 2 that you spend customizing your new DX will give you plenty to learn.. at least it did for me since this is my first Android/iPhone type. To be honest, even with all the threads about various issues, I've come to find that the majority is user based error. Given that you are reading these threads, I doubt you'll have weird things happen to you.

I post with what general technological experience that I have and with what I know from reading on here and other places. I also have some experience with Android from over a week's use with the LG Ally that I've recently returned. Other than that, I'm still pretty new to this scene.

I've already got dozens and dozens of applications and games downloaded or listed on AppBrain. I've got all of my various emulator ROMs ready to go. I'm currently converting movies and general videos. I'm still collecting various backgrounds and wallpapers from the, "What do your X screens look like?" thread and other sources. I've got a few themes ready to test out as soon as I get the phone. I have the overclocking utilities and other necessary software ready. I'm still collecting a lot of stuff, but I'll be perfectly ready to go and customize every aspect of my phone as soon as it arrives. I still have a lot of work to do, though. :)

Basically, I really do my research before completely diving into something. I still watch every single HD video that pops up on YouTube that matches the keyword search for, "droid x," and have been for the past three days or so. I filter the results by upload date. :p

EDIT: I don't know when the phone is going to ship. I got a definite answer from a VZW rep. over the phone earlier today stating that my order has been processed and he gave me a tracking number for it, (the order, not a shipping tracking number). He set up a new e-mail with the account, but since it wasn't present when the phone was ordered, it may not receive the automated shipment confirmation e-mail. Right now I'm just playing the blind waiting game.
