Apk file location?

Newbie
Hey Gang...

I'm going to try and get the camera/gallery from Jelly Bean 4.2 (I'm currently running 4.1.1 stock). Can anyone tell this relative newcomer where, in file manager, to put the apk file from my computer, onto my phone.

Thanks!

Steve

System apps need to be in /system/app

You're rooted right?

The gallery and camera we use are samsung proprietory, relying on the samsung touchwiz framework. I have no idea if the framework still supports Google gallery and camera. I doubt it.

Plus samsung are still 4.1.2. To even have a chance that the camera app would be supported, we'd need samsung to upgrade us to 4.2 first...and like I said, even then we'd need the libs from vanilla android so probably wont support it.

Essentially what I'm saying is, it's not happening

Good luck. Gonna run into a couple of problems. First is not being rooted.

Ok, I'm aborting that idea. Thanks for all your responses and after reading them, I don't think I'll be trying this. No reason for a novice like me to crap up my phone just so I can get something that will come my way eventually anyways.

Thanks again.
