apk file

Just got a new LG MS 690 and had all my contacts transferred. T
However they will not set up in the contact file; the store tech said it was most likely because I had characters in the names and * 67, *82 in front of some of the numbers, they are on the SD chip and I have been able to xfr them to my hard drive. It was the biggest file on the SD chip so I am assuming that was it.

Now my ? is how do I open them so I can correct them so they will be able to be used in my contact file.

Also am brand new to this system other phones had Windows applications and had programs that allowed me to have contacts with name, address, phone description, notes etc.

Are there any applications on this platform for that?

Thanks

Do you have your contacts saved anywhere else?

The reason I ask is because, it is incredibly simple to import into Gmail in most cases, and once your contacts are in Gmail they will sync with your phone. Also, you always have a backup in Gmail that way.

I'm also surprised that you cannot read the contacts directly from the SIM card when it is in your phone? What kind of phone are you coming from?
