Help apk Gtalk video help!!!

I already posted in a thread about this but got nothing so here we go..

I have a Nexus S 4G, rooted, cm7, and the newest GAPPS. However it still wont let me video chat. I've tried everything i can think of. rebooting multiple times. reloading the new GAPPS then rebooting, you name it i've done it.

My last resort was to try uninstall it but since it came pre loaded i cant do that. I know there is a way since its rooted but idk what that is.

Someone please help. if anyone has had my problem or just wants to tell me step by step how to uninstall it i would be forever grateful.

you have to go to the market & install "talk 1.3 installer" to get video chat.

awesome i really hope this works, i'm doing it now. one more thing, i dont want google voice anymore but when i uninstall it, i stop receiving sms messages even through my normal stock messaging. is there a way to fix this or am i stuck with sms through google voice forever?

I'm not sure about the Google voice issue. I have a custom ROM & it comes w/o Google voice

did you merge your number with Google voice? if you did you need to either revers it from Google voice, change the number (that's what I had to do), or just deal with the Gvoice app

wait so you had to change your phone number just to get the google voice to go away?

Yeah I had to do that, it does not means that you will have too, besides it was a good excuse to weed out the people that never calls me either way.
