Help APN Update???????????

Hello, Very simple question. Is there any update on whether the Verizon sch-i535 will allow data access from foreign carriers. I live in Chile and i cannot use data/internet with my current plan..only SMS and calls.. Cheers

Are you rooted by chance or stock?

I think you need to be rooted to be able to change the apn settings to access data on gsm networks

This model does not allow you to change/edit the APN settings, regardless of being rooted unfortunately. I read on Cnet that something was supposed to be available in Jan from verizon but never happened

You need to convert apn manager pro to a system app then it'll let you change the apn settings. It's all in the link I have you above.

Another thing I have found, and you have to be rooted, is this:

It has worked for others and I have used that mod/build.prop edit and now I can edit my apn settings.
