So I am new to droid, I found k9mail which I seem to like... seems to work for me just fine however I still need something that does a bit better job on the SMS front than the core... and would like to be able to accept ics files into my calendar ... that said I am looking for :

1. SMS message tool something with enhanced features...
2. Something that allows me to open up ics files from email and integrates to a calendar program. Right now I get ICS files for invites and there is no file extension that its registered.

If I'm remember correctly ICS files are for iCalendar right? I don't of any txt msging apps that support ICS files but in all honestly I've never really gone in and looked at all the settings in all the msging apps. Also I've never actually tried to do anything with ICS files.

But some popular sms apps are: Chomp SMS, Handcent, Go SMS.

I mean if those don't support ICS files then I don't know if you'll find anything that will do what you want. But like I said none of this is 100%.

SMS app was separate than the ICS discussion..

For ICS was hoping to get something like a calendar program...
