Why I'm here: to offer help, resolutions and hopefully valuable input.
About me: I am a long time software developer with a history of web development in C# .Net but latterly more mobile orientated.
My Android systems: I currently have an HTC Dream rooted with CyanogenMod and a Samsung Galaxy SII with Android 2.3.
Philosophy:
For myself I enjoy tweaking systems to do what I want them too and am a keen advocate of the Open Source movement but when helping others I try to be ambivalent about platform, language or hardware interface. I just want the best thing for the job what ever that is... so I make no apology for sometimes recommending a 'closed' style system to some people for some purposes! Some other philosophies of mine are, in no particular order:
-Treat everyone as an equal.
-Explain fully without being patronising.
-Ignore grammatical errors or spelling mistakes (I'm a bad typist and even worse speller!).
And perhaps above all...
Be nice to each other!
