App doesn't load to the SD card, as expected

I installed a foreign language dictionary (QuickDic) which says it loads the dictionary to the SD card (if specified in Preferences). It seemed to load it to internal memory instead. The developer (Thad Hughes) was kind enough to respond to my emailed request, but he didn't know why it didn't load to the SD card.

Is there some trick or problem with loading apps to the SD card on this phone? Or, maybe I'm looking at the dirs wrong. When I look at my phone, I see the following. Does this mean quickDic is really stored in Internal memory?

Under: My Files; SD card, it does not appear (but it has other files, so I know the SD card is ok).

Under: My Files; Internal phone storage, it has:
quickDic; EN-ES_enwik...nary.quickdic (67062 KB)

In Preferences for the app, for the location to store the data, I have:

/sdcard/quickDic/

Is this the correct format for specifying the SD card?

Any ideas on how to get the app to store the data on the SD card?

The developer was kind enough to research this for me & found out that in order to store data on your SD card, you have to use "/sdcard-ext/" NOT "/sdcard/". Now I know.
