app for locking screen and buttons

What are you trying to use it for? And how is it different then just locking ur screen?
That's besides the fact that most if not all these apps can be circumvent through safe mode

I want my kid to be able to watch something on YouTube without being able to accidentally turn off the screen, adjust volume or push the software buttons to go to the homescreen

it seems like I dont have that pin button... can you see it on your phone when you enable the feature?

See in the settings for enabling it. There should be instructions on how to do it.
That's how the setting looks by me, see if you have different instructions

that 4th step, I don't see that when I try to use the setting.
I see the 4th step in the description, but not the button when I enable the function and follow the instructions

When in recents try scrolling through the apps if you have many opens maybe it's on the bottom. Maybe restart phone?

it worked after rebooting, but it isn't sufficient as you can still pick other episodes in youtube and turn off the screen... Do you have other suggestions?

Why don't you subscribe to application lock..it locks all the apps you want..and become accessible though password created..so your little guy won't have the chance to navigate away without locking him self out, or making a mess without your knowledge..it's very safe..
There you go!

Let me know.

I tried to follow the instructions on screen, but I might have missed something.
Do you know where to find instructions for this or can you help me how to make it work?

Just found the setting you're looking for. It might be just for Samsung, but I'm not sure. Settings> accessibility >dexterity and interaction> interaction control
