App for photo transfer & optimizing

I want to copy/synch all my photos (~ 5300) from my PC to my Galaxy Note. Is there an app that will optimize the photos as well as keep/copy the file structure on my PC to my Note? I recreated the file structure in Samsung kies but still ended up with all my pics in one file. If I drag & drop it takes hours and I don't need the files to be as big on my Note as my PC? I'm new to Android so any help is appreciated.

If you want to reduce the size of your pictures to take up less space you can use something like irfanview ... IrfanView - Official Homepage - one of the most popular viewers worldwide ... on your PC first. This will do batch jobs so you can choose them all (or at least each folder) and just say 'go'. BUT!!!!! I would a) copy a folder to test it out first - as it may not do what you've though it "should" do and get the process right before doing the lot, b) keep a copy of the originals on your PC. Remember, you can get rid of detail from photos, you can't add it!

As for taking a long time, well, it will. I guess you're copying to your sdcard and these are nowhere near as fast as a hard drive. Plus you have the method of connecting. USB or wifi. Both add limitations on speed. But you'll only be doing it once so start it off and go and have lunch.
