App for syncing music

Wyman

Is there an app that would allow me to sync my music on my phone and the computer? Basically what I want to happen is when I add songs to the music folder on my computer; the phone automatically gets updated when I connect the USB cord. However, if I delete a song from the phone I don't want it deleted from the computer. I do have Dropbox and Google Drive but I think when I delete from either of those it deletes it from the phone too.

I'd prefer free from the play store but will consider paid apps as well.

Thanks,
W

Samsung Kies 3.

It's literally iTunes for Samsung Galaxy devices... And really the only one I'd recommend as it seems to work best with the device and it supports things like backing up the Apps on your phone, SMS, Music, Videos, Pictures, Settings, etc.

IIRC, it can Sync them to your External SD Card if you set it up that way.

Never set your Cloud Folders to the same as your Local Libraries (do not set Dropbox to use X:\Users\<Name>\Music for music, for example). It's dangerous and opens up your local data, literally, to tampering in the event that your cloud service gets compromised. If someone wipes our your Dropbox, I'm not sure... but isn't there a chance that your local files get deleted (or sent to the recycling bin?) Use Google Play Music Manager or Amazon's Cloud to keep music backed up - depending on the size of your library and what you prefer.

I use google play music manager and works like a charm. Kies 3 is also good. Play music is already on your phone. All you need is to install the music manager from Google on your PC (free of course). Allow the program plenty of time to do the initial sync and voila... All the music on your PC is now available on Google play music on your phone.
