App for using network HDD

[Qoo]

Hi,

I have a USB HDD, which I use mainly as media server or sharing platform, plugged into my WiFi Router.
Now I'm looking to get the same functions (looking at photos, stream videos, etc.) I get in Windows on Android. Is there an app that can do that?
I tried the addon for Astro File Manager, but it just lets you look at what files there are, which is kind of pointless.

I really need an app that can present pictures in a gallery and open them fast as well as stream videos from the HDD. I hope something like this is out there and I just haven't found it yet.

After navigating to the desired folder on your shared drive ES File Explorer will let you scroll through pictures in a gallery-like fashion (swiping left/right for next/previous while viewing pictures), and also appears to work as an http streaming source, allowing you to open a movie and stream it to an app that supports http streaming (I'm using MX Player).

That sounds good. I will give it a try, thank you.

FX File should work well.
