[App help] Google Calendar notification

I installed Google Calendar from Play, but now I get 2 notifications for each event.
I disabled all notification from the stock (HTC?) calendar, but with no success.

Any other idea?

Long-press on the duplicate notification to see what app it's coming from (I assume it's the stock calendar, but no harm in checking).

Turning off notifications from the stock app should stop them. If they really say they are off but don't stop, and rebooting doesn't change that, then I guess you could disable the stock app if you are not using it (I don't even have it installed on my phone, so disabling it shouldn't cause any problems).

It is coming from the stock app.
I turned off notifications, rebooted still no help.
Can't disable the stock app as I don't have this option in settings -> apps -> calendar.

Oh, weird. I can't try to reproduce this because I removed the app (rooted, custom ROMs, etc), but I didn't have this problem even when I first got the phone. I never used the stock calendar for notifications, I just use Calendar Snooze to handle notifications for all calendars, and didn't have problems with duplicates.

Unfortunately I can't easily investigate because my setup is very different. Maybe go into the stock app's settings, find the list of calendars and deselect them all. If you tell it not to display any calendars that should stop it producing alerts.

Done that as well...

I just found out that there is "Calendar widget" app with "Show notification" option.
I un-ticked it, I will check the result.

I noticed this on my One for the first time yesterday. Saw your question & decided to dig into it myself. In the stock calendar app, under Settings>Reminder Settings, did you tick the box next to All Calendars before you turned off alerts & notifications? In mine, by default it was unchecked and was only turning off notifications for HTC TV, and I was still getting notifications for appointments. I ticked All Calendars, turned off notifications and now only get notifications from Google Calendar app. Hope that helps.

I don't remember which one I did first, but anyway I will try it.

It's working!
Great, thanks!
