[App help] LauncherPro update problem

I was on the train home yesterday and got the notification that there was an update for LauncherPro. It said it would have transition effects (which I gathered was similar to something like PowerPoint would have). This didnt sell me on it, but i figured, what the heck why not.

Well BAD IDEA!!!! It made sense the active launcher and took away everything i had set up and how i had it set. one of the main things that changed for some reason, is when i used to get a text, it would show a red number '1' or '2' depending on the number of unread texts, well that doesnt happen anymore. It still shows the notification at the top, but not over the icon.

Has anyone else had this problem and/or know how to get the red number back above the icon?

(this also effects the missed calls, it will show up top, but not on/above the icon itself)

I use the HomeSmack app to switch between Launchers. Grab that and then it'll let you go back to Launcher Pro. As long as you didn't uninstall it you should still have everything set up the way you left it.

I recommend just playing around with the settings in launcher pro. To specifically answer one of your questions, I believe you can go to menu-preferences-dock settings and from there turn on the red number tags. You can also backup your launcher pro set up in the preferences so it will be saved to your sd card. However, widgets will not load properly when changing versions of launcher pro (i believe).

And to set the default if you do not want to use a third party app, as soon as you hit the home button after installing launcher pro it should ask what you want to launch (sense or launcher pro). If you select the default box and then choose launcher pro it will be the default again.

If that doesn't happen, go to menu-settings-applications-running applications-htc sense and then select "clear defaults." After you do that then when you hit the home button you can set launcher pro as your default just as I described above.

for some reason I just dl'd the newest update and again it wiped my launcher out. Where can I go to set it as the default setup. I re-read this thread and again, unless im missing something I cant figure this dam thing out
