App icon or contact icon? And what does it mean?

Ok I have an interesting question. In the attached pic of the messaging program (either samsung messages or verizon messenger+) you can see what looks like the normal contact icon for some of the conversations. However one of them which i have circled looks more like an app icon. First, would anyone know if it was an app icon or just a contact icon? Second, how can i figure out where this message came from and why that icon is there... i cannot gind a way to see the number it came from etc. And thats odd because every single other message that came in has a phone number or designation from where it came from...
This is the only one in the message app that has a completely different icon. Any ideas to figure this out would be appreciated!

I forgot to mention it is on a Samsung S10+.
The messaging program looks like Samsung messages but has parts that look like Verizon message+

Thats what is weird. Its one message...with an odd contact icon. I cannot find it anywhere else... someone mentioned to me that its possible maybe it was connected to another device such as a samdung watch, a phone, a pc, and the icon then would probably be another type of chat app that was added in to take messages and maybe only one ported over. I dont believe its anything nefarious but i like to figure things out. Plus making sure someone else was not helping him with the phone. I have it locked down as much as possible but there are still times he is around other people and

is this person in your contact list? is this from a group text? if so can you select that person in the group text?

Above the icon does it say "PoweredBy"? The image is too fuzzy, but my brain is saying it might. The outline of a phone with the "ID" word bubble says to me it's some sort of profile sync like "gravatar". I've never seen it before but if they are in your contacts list, I'd check what their profile picture is set to, otherwise look for an app on your phone that might be some sort of profile or avatar manager.

Well i found this on the internet today. Its exactly what i am seeing but no one ever answered this really either... couple guesses. I think it may have something to do with the use of caller id and *67 and *69. I set his phone up so most people cannot see the number that comes through to limit how many calls he gets etc etc... but i still really want to know
... samsung says they have no clue but both phones withvthis issue are samsung s10s
