App icon

Hey there. I was seeking for an app with this particular app icon ... If you've ever used it, please tell me its name.

That looks like a notification in a screenshot in an advert, which may or may not be anything to do with the game that's being shown in the ad - most likely it is completely irrelevant, just something or other that the person had on their phone and didn't bother clearing before taking the screenshot.

I've never seen it before, and can't guess from the design (which looks like a mash-up of the Android logo with the letter S) what it might be.

That showed on my S20 after the Android 12 update while it was finishing the update. It is a new Samsung icon as I think it was different on previous updates. That's why I grabbed a screenshot as I figured this would come up.

Ah, yes, an Androidified "S" as a Samsung icon makes sense.

For some reason the Feb update hasn't arrived here yet, but I'll keep an eye out for the icon when it does.

I just took an update on my pixel 5 and came here to post what unforgiven did. Same icon, so I guess the "S" shape is coincidental and not Samsung exclusive.

This icon moves to the top bar once logged in, then disappears.

We found out in this thread the other day that it's from the system update.
