App Idea - Desk Dashboard

This ideas been swirling around in my head for the last year or so since i got my hero, and i cant seem to find anything out there that will incorporate my ideas/needs, i have written up a mini description over at XDA, so instead of copy/pasting it here ill just link you

Would be ausom if someone could point me in the direction of an existing app, or if there are any developers willing to take on my idea!

I'm confused, do you want apps/ widgets to do this for you or are you looking for an app to link to your computer?
If so, keep an eye on iTap mobile they've developed similar things for iOS and one app for Android, it works like a touch pad.
Maybe they'll develop more, maybe not

Is there any app out there that acts like a mini dashboard?

For example when im at my desk (most of the day) I have my phone plugged in charging or whatnot, next to me being useless... It would be so useful to have a micro auto updating dashboard next to my monitor.

maybe displaying; Gmail messages, twitter messages, time/weather.. facebook notifications, countdown, events all rolled into one sleek theme able application?

I use an old casette tape opened up to hold my hero at the right angle ;p So its like dock holder.. at the moment theres just the built in "Clock" but thats a bit boring... plus not so usefull.

Why can't you just use widget locker?

You can setup any widgets you want on the lock screen to display whatever you want.

Then, make sure you screen timeout is disabled when plugged into a power source.


That seems like the obvious solution to your request....no?

Im talking about a sleek app that integrates all this into a professional finish, im not a fan of widgets, too clunky, messy and ugly!
So i can see all my networks at a glance while continuing to work on my computer..
