Help app installation question

How do I or can I take an app from my unrooted ally and install it on my spectrum? The app is moveable to my SD card. I cannot find the application in the market on the spectrum

Titanium backup may be able to pull the file to SD card in order for you to restore it on another phone, but if it's a system app, you will definitely need to root the ally first. Just moving it to the sdcard will not give you a proper file to move over if i remember correctly.

It's not a system application. It was downloaded from the market. I just can't find it now. I know there is a file on the cars that's a. Apk

Well, I can't say that trying to install the .apk from the card on to the spectrum will not work, I just have never personally seen it work.

If you don't need the app data, get the app called 'app saver'. I use it to dump all my apps onto my new SD card when I get a new phone. It saves all your user apps in a folder on your SD card for you.

:D That app saves me A LOT of work when I need to move apps, since the market doesn't remember what you had on your phone (unless you do auto restore, which I don't recommend).

I've been using Android Mate to do this for just shy of 2 years, never had any issues.

Also free in the "play" store
