app installed on sd card not showing/working

Hi
I have HTC wildfire s mobile with android 2.3 OS. I installed apps on SD card, earlier apps were working.but when I removed the SD card and again inserted the card all apps installed in SD card not showing.

Pls suggest.

unmount and remount sd crad...it will show

if it doesnt work reboot

No I have not deleted anything
But I unmount the SD card without switching off,can it affect the apps
