App Manager Help

Hi, great, informative site. I'm a new GS3 owner and I love the phone. The learning curve has been relatively painless but I have some questions.

App Manager- what apps MUST be kept running? When I try to disable apps that I think aren't necessary (trying to conserve battery life) the message says that ' it could affect the way my phone works' or something like that. What apps are critical to the operation of the phone?

Is their a shortcut to answer voice mail?

The small, Google search box was deleted accidentaly. How do I recover it?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

If you long press the home button, you can close all of those apps. If you are looking in the settings menu at running applications then thats difficult to answer as there are quite a few essential running services. If your only reason for closing the apps is to conserve battery, then I would suggest downloading GSam battery monitor and that will tell you which apps are draining your battery and go from there.

Not sure about the voicemail, im sure somebody will confirm for you.

Thats sounds like a widget, you just need to add the widget to your home screen by pressing the app icon, then pressing the widget tab at the top, find the google search widget and add it.
