App problems

I would just like to check whether other people are having the same experience as me. I have started installing loads of apps that I was unable to install on my old phone (HTC Desire - lack of space!), and so I have no previous experience of some of them for comparison. I have found two apps that seemingly install correctly but yet crash very soon after running the app. The two in question are the official Tottenham Hotspur app and the Sky+ app. I have also installed Kaspersky Mobile Security from the Play Store, and some of the functionality of the app is disabled and I cannot find a way of enabling (I have contacted Kaspersky about this).

Are other people having problems with apps? Is this maybe an issue of compatibility with ICS? Surely app creators should have sorted out ICS compatibility by now? It has been out since late last year! Or is the issue the fact the the GS3 has Android 4.0.4 whereas other ICS phones only have version 4.0.3? Interestingly the Play Store states that these apps are compatible with my device, but I'm not so sure.

Thanks.
