app rating

Hi all

Since when do I have to make a google+ account in order to rate an app? Is there a way to rate without google+, because I do not want to make an account.

why would they do this, apps will get less rating this way?

It's since late last year.

I think the idea was to make reviews more honest/reliable, but as another thread has illustrated this doesn't work (dodgy devs use sockpuppet accounts to distort the system).

I don't have or want a G+ account either, but I just don't think about reviewing any more.
